CITY OF POWAY NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Poway will hold a Public Hearing to consider the following item: Resolution Establishing Assessments for Poway Landscape Maintenance District 83-1 to be Collected on the San Diego County Property Tax Roll for Fiscal Year 2014/2015. To continue to maintain landscape facilities at their current levels, Fiscal Year 2014/2015 ASSESSMENTS are required to be collected in the amount of $165,872.00 for Zone A (Residential); $23,226.09 for Zone B (Commercial); and $12,900.16 for Zone C (Residential). FACILITIES are defined as the landscape improvements within the rights-of-way associated with annexed subdivisions adjacent to portions of Pomerado Road, Tierra Bonita Road, Midland Road, Espola Road, Community Road, Carriage Road, Camino del Norte, and Twin Peaks Road. The Zone A ASSESSMENT RATE for Fiscal Year 2014/2015 is proposed to remain at the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 rate of $118.48 per benefit unit, and is to be collected on 1,400 parcels. The Zone B ASSESSMENT RATE for Fiscal Year 2014/2015 is proposed to remain at the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 rate of $235.75 per commercial benefit unit, collected on 15 parcels for a total of 98.52 benefit units. The Zone C ASSESSMENT RATE for Fiscal Year 2014/2015 is proposed to remain at the Fiscal Year 2013/2014 rate of $496.16 per benefit unit, and is to be collected on 26 parcels. If you wish to express concerns in favor or against the above, you may appear in person at the above described meeting or submit your concerns in writing to the City Clerk, City of Poway. IF YOU WISH TO SPEAK at the meeting please fill out one of the speaker’s slips, which are located at the back of the Council Chambers, to the right of the door as you enter. The agenda, which gives the order of the meeting, is also located there. You must give the speaker’s slip to the City Clerk prior to the meeting or prior to the subject item in order to be called to the podium to speak. If you challenge the matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to, the public hearing.
