NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR BIDS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ramona Unified School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, (hereinafter referred to as “District”) will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 p.m. on the 10th of June, 2015, sealed bids for the award of a contract for: Ramona High School Roofing Project, Bid No. 2015-1 Bids shall be received in the Purchasing Department, Ramona Unified School District, located at 720 Ninth Street, Ramona, CA 92065, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above-stated time and place. Each bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation, the Information for Bidders, the specifications, and all other documents comprising the pertinent contract documents. Copies of the contract documents will be distributed at the mandatory job walk, however, bidders may choose to obtain copies of the contract documents by request to the Purchasing Department at Ramona Unified School District beginning May 26, 2015. A MANDATORY job walk will be held on May 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., meeting first at the Ramona Unified School District Office Boardroom, 720 Ninth Street, Ramona, then proceeding to Ramona High School, 1401 Hanson Lane, Ramona, CA. Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the Non-Collusion Affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders. In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $20,000.00, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond and performance bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept or to reject any one or more items of a bid or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. The District has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request at the Purchasing Department, 720 Ninth Street, Ramona, CA 92065. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him/her, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed to the following classification(s): “C-39” or “A” or “B”. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids will be awarded as specified in the bid instructions and conditions.
